There's nothing like 7" of snow...

...to remind you spring is still VERY far AWAY!!

Notice little Oscar's mismatched gloves...he NEVER keeps them on so we have random gloves everywhere!

Surprisingly this is Gordon's first Snow Angel...
it was the first thing he wanted to try when we got out here today!

Oscar coming to get me with a "snow ball" He kept running around saying "caught you, caught you" in stead of 'got you, got you' like Gordon and I were saying.

Two "snow cones" coming up...we still have some ready to eat in the freezer!

There's nothing like...

...a paper clip up your nose!

huh?

Yes, a paper clip UP your NOSE!

Saturday night when I was changing his diaper I noticed something up his nose, I thought it was just another giant booger as he tends to get with all the cold weather these days. So being a mom I did not hesitate to "pick it" for him. However to my horror as I began, I quickly noticed that this was no ordinary booger.
All of a sudden events from the last TWO days flashed before my eyes, Oscar coming in from the toy room looking very nervous but kind of laughing saying over and over again Nose, Nose, Nose...then trying to pick his nose... picking his nose all day LONG...nodding his head up and down and picking his nose...crying to me, while picking his nose...Each time I tried to pick his no with no reward.
I then quickly and calmly told Steve to grab the tweezers. When the proper tools were assembled I asked Steve to Hold his head...at this Steve began to worry and asked what was wrong. I briefly told him what had happened over the past two days...then in a jiff and a few flinches later we had the nose clogging culprit--a paper clip! It was totally slimed, totally huge in comparison to little Otter's nose, and totally disgusting!!!

Mirror Time

Little Miss E has finally realized just how stinkin' cute she is!

President Hinckley Passes Away 01.27.08

We are so sad to see our beloved Prophet and President pass away. In fact when I was speaking to Gordon about it just a few minutes ago he got all teary eyed and said,
"But we didn't even get to see him yesterday. He will miss us."
"But just think how happy he is to be in heaven with Heavenly Father. "
"But mom, I just really like him down here. We won't get to listen to him anymore."
"Honey, just think about all the wonderful things that we've learned from him and then think how happy Heavenly Father is with all the work that he has done. He was so proud of him and told him it was time for him to come to Heaven and have a rest."
That seemed to settle him down a bit but he has still mentioned it a number of times today, that he is going to miss President Hinckley. It is amazing that even such a small child can know that President Hinckley was and is a very important man of God.
We love President Hinckley and will miss him dearly!

I just want to say that I know that he was a Prophet of God and that he is now returned to live with our Heavenly Father. I know that we will be blessed for following his teachings and trying to live our lives as he lived his! And I know that it may sound silly but I think that he is really happy to be back with his little wife--he missed her so much!

Some Pictures After Church 11.25.07

We all pretty much matched on this Sunday so of course I wanted to get some pictures...we took a bunch but of course no one is looking at the same time! But it is kind of fun to get all of them together and look at the funny parts of each one. For Christmas I made Steve a Photo book and one whole page I did just that...I put all of the group pictures from this day on one page all right next to each other...and funny enough--it's my favorite page!

our boys LOVE hats

Here are two funny hat shots....
Gordon looks hilarious in his black knight helmet (Oscar has a silver and gold one...they got them for Halloween but they have used them at least 5 times a week!)

And Oscar has been obsessed with "Unders hats" He usually wants everyone to wear them at the same time...Grandma Munns has even donned herself a nice pair of Power Ranger Unders--Definitely a new look for her!

A Late November Snowstorm

These are just a few pictures from our first real bit of snow here in OH...we didn't have any gloves or boots for the boys yet so it was a brief outing in the snow!

Happy Late Birthday to STEVE

YES, I am still catching up all my posts...new ones will come I just need to get these up first!

When Daddy got home the kids had fun playing with dad and dressing up with their doctor glasses while I tried to get everything ready for our little family PAR-TAY!

Our little Chef (he loves to make desserts...he in fact is in charge of the treat we're having for FHE--Fruit Pizza) put all the candles on the cake for me! What a dear!
The blazing inferno...28 candles can create quite a bit of heat...watch out dear!

I took my man out to dinner for our date to celebrate the BIG 28...Ellie came too...it was one of the first weekends in our new ward and I didn't want to scare off the little girl who came over to watch Gordon and Oscar!
WE LOVE YOU BABE!!
We truly appreciate all that you do to keep our family healthy happy and safe!!
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

Our favorite things about Dad:
Gordon: "My favorite thing about Daddy is that he loves me"
Oscar: "Uh, Daddy"
Ellie: "ahhh Daaa daa"

I LOVE YOU DARLING, Happy Belated Birthday!
