President Hinckley Passes Away 01.27.08

We are so sad to see our beloved Prophet and President pass away. In fact when I was speaking to Gordon about it just a few minutes ago he got all teary eyed and said,
"But we didn't even get to see him yesterday. He will miss us."
"But just think how happy he is to be in heaven with Heavenly Father. "
"But mom, I just really like him down here. We won't get to listen to him anymore."
"Honey, just think about all the wonderful things that we've learned from him and then think how happy Heavenly Father is with all the work that he has done. He was so proud of him and told him it was time for him to come to Heaven and have a rest."
That seemed to settle him down a bit but he has still mentioned it a number of times today, that he is going to miss President Hinckley. It is amazing that even such a small child can know that President Hinckley was and is a very important man of God.
We love President Hinckley and will miss him dearly!

I just want to say that I know that he was a Prophet of God and that he is now returned to live with our Heavenly Father. I know that we will be blessed for following his teachings and trying to live our lives as he lived his! And I know that it may sound silly but I think that he is really happy to be back with his little wife--he missed her so much!

Some Pictures After Church 11.25.07

We all pretty much matched on this Sunday so of course I wanted to get some pictures...we took a bunch but of course no one is looking at the same time! But it is kind of fun to get all of them together and look at the funny parts of each one. For Christmas I made Steve a Photo book and one whole page I did just that...I put all of the group pictures from this day on one page all right next to each other...and funny enough--it's my favorite page!

our boys LOVE hats

Here are two funny hat shots....
Gordon looks hilarious in his black knight helmet (Oscar has a silver and gold one...they got them for Halloween but they have used them at least 5 times a week!)

And Oscar has been obsessed with "Unders hats" He usually wants everyone to wear them at the same time...Grandma Munns has even donned herself a nice pair of Power Ranger Unders--Definitely a new look for her!

A Late November Snowstorm

These are just a few pictures from our first real bit of snow here in OH...we didn't have any gloves or boots for the boys yet so it was a brief outing in the snow!

Happy Late Birthday to STEVE

YES, I am still catching up all my posts...new ones will come I just need to get these up first!

When Daddy got home the kids had fun playing with dad and dressing up with their doctor glasses while I tried to get everything ready for our little family PAR-TAY!

Our little Chef (he loves to make desserts...he in fact is in charge of the treat we're having for FHE--Fruit Pizza) put all the candles on the cake for me! What a dear!
The blazing inferno...28 candles can create quite a bit of heat...watch out dear!

I took my man out to dinner for our date to celebrate the BIG 28...Ellie came too...it was one of the first weekends in our new ward and I didn't want to scare off the little girl who came over to watch Gordon and Oscar!
WE LOVE YOU BABE!!
We truly appreciate all that you do to keep our family healthy happy and safe!!
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

Our favorite things about Dad:
Gordon: "My favorite thing about Daddy is that he loves me"
Oscar: "Uh, Daddy"
Ellie: "ahhh Daaa daa"

I LOVE YOU DARLING, Happy Belated Birthday!

Sweeetie Pie Ellie 11.2007

This Video is from a bath-time where my plan was to bathe Eleanor after the boys so she was patiently waiting her turn!
Seriously--HOW can one girl be so DANG PERFECT!!
Please bear with me...this is a makeshift journal and I am catching up slowly and steadily!

A very Late Happy Halloween!

So here are our very late but cute pictures of our first Halloween in OHIO!!

After finally unloading our U-Haul we hauled back the hotel to get ready for our "Halloween fun night"!

We were living at the Holiday Inn and so we have some pictures of us leaving the hotel in costume and then we drove to a street that looked cute and well decorated and dove in...we only did about 6 houses but it was so great!

Special thanks to Sarah Anderson for the Darling Bad Knight costume! It was a huge hit! (and PS you'll be getting that back very soon--I haven't forgotten) and to Grandma Munns for the matching Bee Costumes!!! I LOVED THEM...we had a knight costume for Oscar but once I tried on that Bee costume and he spent the next 15 minutes buzzing around--I knew he was going to be a bumble-bee!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

The UNLOADING crew...10.30.07

The first unload...
taking a little rester in between jobs

The unloading crew awaiting their assignments!Ready....Break!
The lock keeper holding his padlock!
The supervisor...it was so COLD!!
So after we got to town we called some people from the new ward we were moving into to try and get some help unloading but apparently it was a busy week for people--even the missionaries were booked up with double dinners on the two nights we needed to unpack! I am finally over it but at the time my good husband was the only patient person with our new ward family....I really am over it but I about called those missionaries and told them I thought they were losers for not helping AT ALL!! So once again Steve and I unloaded all our stuff from the U-HAUL into our storage unit awaiting a house to put it in...what was supposed to be less than a month's time is now going on 3 as we are still trying to find a house with a perfect fit!

WE are really LOVING it here if we don't think about the weather! We have made some good friends and are really excited about being on this new adventure!

Our little boys were so excited to be the moving crew--they really did help unpacking some of the small stuff...it was just a challenge finding where they had set the stuff they unloaded! They also had so much fun riding their scooters and little toys around the parking lot of the storage unit!
